Lighting Column Temporary Attachments Approval

Whenever any item is attached to a lighting column, it is necessary to test the column to ensure that its structural safety will not be compromised.

It is likely that some attachments will be too large or heavy for certain column types as the columns were designed to support brackets and lanterns, not hanging baskets, banners or Christmas decorations.

It is possible that even if a column design is adequate for the intended attachment, there may be deterioration within the structure that undermines the safety of the installation.

Our service can be used for the inspection and approval of lighting columns for the attachment of Christmas Decorations, Banners and Hanging Baskets.

All qualifying columns are certified acceptable and covered by £1m indemnity minimum.
